FAQs

What referral options can I use to see you?

1

I can currently see Medicare referrals, (MHCP, CDM etc), private billing and some third-party payers on case-by-case basis. Please contact me to confirm.

Why and how do you use AI?

2

I will ask your permission to use an AI scribe before our first session. This is also in the All Roads intake and consent form. I have chosen to utilise AI in my note taking for several reasons:

  1. To maximise my efficiency so that I can give my clients the best service and offer the most appointments

  2. So I can be present in sessions and not be trying to note take simultaneously

  3. Due to my disabilities I am losing my hand dexterity, so this is an accessibility adjustment that allows me to keep working without compromising my practice

AHPRA, our professional indemnity insurers and our governing bodies have released professional advice that the safe and informed use of compliant AI tools is permitted. The AI I have chosen to use is through my practice management software, so is already health-specific and compliant with Australian Privacy Principles. It does not store your data and is different to Language Learning Models (LLM) or generative AI. You are free to opt out, and please contact me if you have any concerns.

Is there anyone you don’t see?

3

I am ethically required to work within my scope of practice, and to other limitations (such as where I can seek adequate supervision and resources). As such, I do not currently see the following referral types:

  • Assessments

  • Children and adolescents

  • Couples

  • Eating Disorder Treatment Plans

  • Families

  • Medicolegal and forensic reports

  • Needs better met by in-person or intensive services

  • Some funding schemes (case by case)

  • The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

    Carl Rogers

  • It may be that when we no longer know what to do we have come to our real work, and that when we no longer know which way to go we have come to our real journey. The mind that is not baffled is not employed. The impeded stream is the one that sings.

    Wendell Berry

  • When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be

    Lao Tzu

  • I’m not a mess but a deeply feeling person in a messy world. I explain that now, when someone asks me why I cry so often. I say, for the same reason I laugh so often – because I’m paying attention.
