Individual Therapy

All Roads Psychology values remaining agile and curious so treatment can adjust to your needs, goals and ongoing feedback. Intervention can integrate a number of therapies, including:

  • Trauma-informed interventions including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

  • Parts models, such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Schema Therapy

  • Somatic therapies, such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and embodiment/mindfulness practices

  • Client-centred approaches, such as Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

  • Second-wave cognitive therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)

Please Note: not all therapies will be appropriate for all individuals and presentations. We will discuss your individual treatment plan in your intake and review as sessions progress.

Professional Supervision

I am a board-approved supervisor with a focus on making mental health accessible and responsive to changing community needs. Because of this, I am particularly passionate about supporting my peers by providing high-quality support and supervision services. Some areas that I can specifically assist supervisees include:

  • chronic health and pain

  • trauma-informed practice

  • neuro-affirming modifications to practice

  • modifications to EMDR and other modalities to accommodate chronic illness, disability and dissociative disorders

  • managing complex caseloads

  • supporting rural and remote clients

  • client-therapist relationship management

  • early career difficulties and self-development/self-care as a practitioner

My approach is collaborative and transparent, empowering you to navigate an already heavy profession in a way that doesn’t add pressure to perform or know all the answers. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions!

FAQs

What referral options can I use to see you?

1

I can currently see Medicare referrals, (MHCP, CDM etc), private billing and some third-party payers on case-by-case basis. Please contact me to confirm.

Why and how do you use AI?

2

I will ask your permission to use an AI scribe before our first session. This is also in the All Roads intake and consent form. I have chosen to utilise AI in my note taking for several reasons:

  1. To maximise my efficiency so that I can give my clients the best service and offer the most appointments

  2. So I can be present in sessions and not be trying to note take simultaneously

  3. Due to my disabilities I am losing my hand dexterity, so this is an accessibility adjustment that allows me to keep working without compromising my practice

AHPRA, our professional indemnity insurers and our governing bodies have released professional advice that the safe and informed use of compliant AI tools is permitted. The AI I have chosen to use is through my psychometric assessment software, so is already health-specific and compliant with Australian Privacy Principles. It does not store your data and is different to Language Learning Models (LLM) or generative AI. You are free to opt out, and please contact me if you have any concerns.

Is there anyone you don’t see?

3

I am ethically required to work within my scope of practice, and to other limitations (such as where I can seek adequate supervision and resources). As such, I do not currently see the following referral types:

  • Assessments

  • Children and adolescents

  • Couples

  • Eating Disorder Treatment Plans

  • Agency or plan-managed NDIS participants

  • Families

  • Medicolegal and forensic reports

  • Needs better met by in-person or intensive services

  • Some funding schemes (case by case)

  • The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

    Carl Rogers

  • It may be that when we no longer know what to do we have come to our real work, and that when we no longer know which way to go we have come to our real journey. The mind that is not baffled is not employed. The impeded stream is the one that sings.

    Wendell Berry

  • When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be

    Lao Tzu

  • I’m not a mess but a deeply feeling person in a messy world. I explain that now, when someone asks me why I cry so often. I say, for the same reason I laugh so often – because I’m paying attention.
